Pakistan v World XI series on SuperSport

SuperSport has secured the rights to broadcast the historic Pakistan-World XI T20 cricket tour, beginning on Tuesday.

Led by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis, the World XI will become the only team, apart from Zimbabwe, to have toured Pakistan since 2009. This followed the country being barred from hosting international matches after the Sri Lankan team was attacked by gunmen during their tour that same year.

An ICC special security team visited Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday to review security arrangements. All three matches will be played here.

The World XI features players from seven test-playing countries: Faf du Plessis (captain, South Africa), Hashim Amla (South Africa), Samuel Badree (West Indies), George Bailey (Australia), Paul Collingwood (England), Ben Cutting (Australia), Grant Elliott (New Zealand), Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh), David Miller (South Africa), Morne Morkel (South Africa), Tim Paine (Australia), Thisara Perera (Sri Lanka), Imran Tahir (South Africa) and Darren Sammy (West Indies).

Former England coach Andy Flower will manage the international team.

Tuesday, September 12: 1st T20, 4.45pm-8.40pm (SS2/SS6 A)
Wednesday, September 13: 2nd T20, 4.15pm-8.30pm (SS2/SS6A)
Friday, September 15: 3rd T20, 4.15pm-8.30pm (SS2/SS6A)
