This will be the first ever competitive meeting between Eintracht Frankfurt and Atalanta – the German side are winless and have failed to score in each of their last four European matches against Italian opposition, including when drawing 0-0 with Napoli on MD4 (L3).  

Atalanta have won both of their last two European games against German opponents, beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final of the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League and Stuttgart 2-0 in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League group stage.
