ZESCO United of Zambia reached the CAF Confederation Cup group stage for the first time since 2019 after drawing 1-1 with Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana on Saturday.
Chad international Amine Hiver put the visitors ahead in first half added time and Thabang Sesinyi equalised with eight minutes of regular time remaining of the return match.
A second Galaxy goal would have given them overall victory on away goals in the final round qualifier, but ZESCO held on to advance 5-4 on aggregate.
ZESCO are bankrolled by the national power supplier in Zambia and their best African performance was reaching the 2016 CAF Champions League semifinals.
