Matchday one of the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup group stage will see Zamalek, Kaizer Chiefs and Wydad Athletic Club targeting victories in their opening games.
Two-time winners Zamalek of Egypt will be confident of starting their Group D campaign with an emphatic victory when they host Zambian club Zesco United at the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo on Saturday.
Zamalek's North African rivals, Wydad of Morocco, are also the clear favourites as they prepare to welcome group stage debutants, Nairobi United of Kenya, at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca in a Group B clash.
South African giants Chiefs, on the other hand, will be on the road as they are scheduled to travel to the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo, where they are expected to lock horns with Egyptian outfit Al Masry in a Group D encounter.
