A late goal by Chinwendu Ihezuo earned the Super Falcons a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Botswana on Thursday and the West African giants maintained their 100 per cent win record in Group B.
The North African teams in Group B remain winless as Algeria and Tunisia drew 0-0 on Thursday. Algeria are placed second in the group standings ahead of their clash with Nigeria on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the tournament hosts, Morocco, are placed at the top of the Group A standings after overcoming DR Congo 4-2, thanks to Ghizlane Chebbak's hat-trick on Wednesday.
Zambia are level on points with Group A leaders, Morocco, after securing a 3-2 victory over a stubborn Senegal side on Wednesday, in a match that saw Barbra Banda score twice for the Copper Queens.
The defending champions, South Africa, were in action on Friday as they drew 1-1 with Tanzania and as a result, Banyana Banyana remain at the top of the Group C standings.
Banyana will wrap up their Group C campaign with a clash with second-placed Mali on Monday. The Eagles of Mali fought back to hold Ghana to a 1-1 draw on Friday.
